Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Lead incident response activities, including forensic analysis and recovery procedures
- Develop and implement security controls to protect sensitive data and critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Create comprehensive security documentation and incident reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
