Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Respond to and remediate security breaches, conducting post-incident analysis and reporting.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
