Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop comprehensive incident response reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop security awareness training programs and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence through continuous research
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations, threat analysis, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
