Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate risks across cloud and on-premise environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and industry regulations
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed forensic reports
- Lead security awareness training for employees
- Stay current on emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SIEM monitoring, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., Splunk, Wireshark, Qualys)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Excellent written communication for reporting and documentation
