Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and analyze alerts for potential threats using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents, including malware infections and phishing attacks.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations such as NIST and ISO 27001.
- Perform security audits and generate detailed reports for management.
- Collaborate with IT operations to implement secure software development and deployment practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Linux and Windows operating systems, including command-line interfaces.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with incident response frameworks and digital forensics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
