Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and provide detailed reports
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry regulations (NIST, GDPR)
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC or similar role
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols and system architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass background check
