Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based servers (Linux and Windows Server environments).
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and switches.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of critical systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Develop and execute scripts (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime in the event of a system failure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
