Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across networks
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and techniques
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Experience with threat detection tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Darktrace)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast-paced incident response environments
