Responsibilities
- Monitor & Analyze: Continuously monitor network traffic, system logs, and SIEM alerts to identify potential security breaches and suspicious activities.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the technical response to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and recommend remediation strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and zero-day vulnerabilities within the network environment.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security training programs to educate employees on best practices and emerging threat vectors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS).
- Programming: Strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell for automation and log analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
