Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security incidents and root cause analysis
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and compliance documentation
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security enhancements
- Manage security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
