Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis and proactive hunting for emerging risks
- Lead incident response coordination, including containment and eradication activities
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and policies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of network systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and hardening measures
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
