Responsibilities
- Tier 2 Help Desk Support: Provide advanced technical assistance to employees regarding hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.
- Incident Management: Log, track, and manage all IT support tickets using the Service Desk system (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) to ensure timely resolution.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular system updates, patch management, and security audits to maintain optimal system performance and security.
- User Onboarding/Offboarding: Assist in the setup of new workstations, accounts, and permissions for new hires, and ensure secure data removal for departing employees.
- Hardware & Software Deployment: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Office 365, and various enterprise applications.
- Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across the local network and VPN connections.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support roles.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.
