Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services in Python/Java
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems during weekend coverage
- Collaborate with global teams via asynchronous communication
- Automate CI/CD pipelines for weekend deployment cycles
- Contribute to security hardening initiatives for cloud infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers through documentation and code reviews
- Participate in quarterly innovation sprints
Qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering experience in cloud-native environments
- Expertise in AWS/GCP with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong proficiency in at least two modern programming languages
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills for weekend incident resolution
