Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection and alert triage
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and malware analysis
- Implement NIST 800-53 controls and maintain compliance documentation
- Develop playbooks for incident response procedures and threat hunting
- Collaborate with network teams to harden infrastructure against attacks
- Generate executive-level security reports and risk assessments
- Participate in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification (required)
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance (must be eligible)
