Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios/Zabbix and optimize resource utilization
- Collaborate with network teams to troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues
- Document configurations, procedures, and create technical documentation
- Support user accounts, permissions, and access control across systems
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell/Python and scripting languages
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on system administration experience in Windows/Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS Certified SysOps Admin) preferred
- Experience with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault) and disaster recovery planning
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations
