Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure including Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios/Zabbix, resolving incidents within SLA requirements
- Execute disaster recovery plans, data backups, and system patching to ensure business continuity
- Automate workflows using PowerShell/Python and manage Active Directory environments
- Collaborate with security teams to implement robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance frameworks
- Document systems architecture and provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with proven expertise in Windows Server 2019+ and Linux distributions
- Strong hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or Linux+ required; CCNA/Cybersecurity+ preferred
- Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash) for automation and troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with experience in 24/7 on-call rotation environments
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
