Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure for on-premise and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- System Security: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect company data and ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts (Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Backup & Recovery: Oversee data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- User Support: Provide Level 3 technical support and guidance to internal teams regarding system configurations and troubleshooting.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in managing Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Networking: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Virtualization: Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting: Solid knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
