Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and develop remediation plans
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry regulations
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence to proactively enhance security posture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence frameworks
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for security reporting and collaboration
