Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents, documenting findings and recommending mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports to inform proactive security measures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery
- Create security awareness training materials and conduct employee education sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Strong proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and forensic methodologies
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Expert knowledge of attack vectors, malware analysis, and zero-day threat mitigation
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder reporting
