Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware, firewalls, and routers to ensure optimal network performance and security.
- Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical business data.
- Perform regular system audits, security patches, and software updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to internal employees, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Document IT processes, configurations, and system changes to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for hardware procurement and technical support.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong technical proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory) and security best practices.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certifications are a significant plus.
