Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments (Active Directory, VMWare, Hyper-V)
- Implement and maintain network security protocols (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
- Coordinate disaster recovery and backup solutions
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and user training
- Document system configurations and procedures
- Collaborate with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for hybrid infrastructure
Qualifications
- 3+ years of system administration experience
- Expertise in Windows Server 2016/2019 and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- VMware/Hyper-V virtualization certification preferred
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Security certifications (Security+, CISSP) a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours for system maintenance
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
