Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior System Administrator to join our high-growth technology team in San Francisco. Due to rapid infrastructure expansion, this is an urgent hire to ensure our systems remain scalable, secure, and efficient.

Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premise servers and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor robust security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR/SOC2).
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, Ansible) to streamline deployment processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Incident Response: Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical system outages and performance bottlenecks, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal business impact.
- Storage & Backup: Manage storage solutions, backup policies, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard organizational data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and engineering teams to provide technical guidance and support for new application deployments.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or DevOps Engineer.
- Operating Systems: Deep expertise in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
- Cloud Knowledge: Proven experience working with AWS or Azure cloud services and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Networking: Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or similar ITIL/CompTIA certifications are highly preferred.
