Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
- Oversee Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and hardware/software upgrades
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document IT processes and maintain compliance with industry standards
- Provide Tier 3 support and mentor junior IT staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019+, Linux (Ubuntu/RedHat), and virtualization technologies
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and cloud platforms
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred
- Proven experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python/Bash)
- Ability to work under pressure with critical incident response skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
