Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Linux/Windows Server environments across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premises infrastructure
- Automate deployment and monitoring using Ansible, Terraform, and ELK Stack to ensure 99.99% uptime
- Lead security hardening initiatives, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits (SOC2/HIPAA)
- Optimize system performance through capacity planning, load balancing, and database tuning
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct quarterly failover testing
- Mentor junior administrators through documentation creation and knowledge sharing sessions
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with proven expertise in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments
- Advanced scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code implementation
- Strong security certifications (CISSP, Security+, or equivalent) and hands-on experience with SIEM tools
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) including VPC design, IAM policies, and cost optimization
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities with experience in root cause analysis for complex outages
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
