Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments across hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols including firewalls and intrusion detection
- Oversee backup/recovery systems and disaster preparedness protocols
- Diagnose and resolve complex system issues with minimal downtime
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash)
- Document system configurations and create technical SOPs
- Collaborate with development teams on DevOps initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expertise in Active Directory, VMware, and Azure/AWS environments
- Certification in CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or equivalent
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong scripting and automation skills
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds)
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
- BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
