Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across AWS and on-premise infrastructure
- Automate deployment and monitoring using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
- Manage enterprise-level network security protocols (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN)
- Perform capacity planning, disaster recovery testing, and 24/7 on-call rotation
- Optimize system performance using monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Lead virtualization projects using VMware ESXi and Kubernetes
- Document architecture changes and create operational runbooks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with AWS certification
- Expertise in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code
- Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs)
- Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+) preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekend maintenance windows
