We are looking for a Talent-driven Senior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT department in San Diego. At Apex Innovations, we build scalable infrastructure that powers our global platforms. You will play a critical role in maintaining system uptime, optimizing performance, and ensuring the highest level of data security for our clients.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of Linux and Windows server environments.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Automate workflows using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to increase efficiency.
- Implement and monitor security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network and system issues.

Responsibilities
- Manage server lifecycle from provisioning to decommissioning.
- Configure and maintain network devices, including routers and switches.
- Ensure data backup and disaster recovery procedures are up to date.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in System Administration.
- Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, RHCE, or Azure Administrator are a plus.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
