Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Linux/Windows server environments, including virtualization (VMware/KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and Splunk
- Develop automation scripts (Python/PowerShell) for provisioning and configuration management
- Oversee backup/recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expert proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, MCSE, or CCNA) preferred
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues under pressure
