Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers, virtualization environments, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and monitor network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and troubleshooting to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Develop and automate scripts (Python/Bash) to streamline IT operations and reporting.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery testing to safeguard company data.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior system administrators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals.
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
