Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise-level Linux/Windows servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/KVM), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize resource utilization
- Automate deployment and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Document procedures, create runbooks, and maintain configuration management databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Linux/Windows Server administration and network fundamentals
- Certifications in AWS/Azure, CompTIA Server+, or VMware preferred
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and ITIL practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
