Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server infrastructure including virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and on-premise systems
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and SolarWinds to prevent outages
- Execute security protocols including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance audits
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible for operational efficiency
- Provide Tier 3 support for Windows/Linux environments and collaborate with DevOps teams
- Document system architecture, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
- Lead infrastructure upgrades and migrations while maintaining 99.9% uptime SLAs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server and Linux
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) and experience with CI/CD pipelines
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Proven track record of managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
- Experience with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault) and disaster recovery planning
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally in Agile environments
