Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Windows/Linux server environments using Active Directory, VMware ESXi, and Azure Stack
- Lead cloud migration projects while maintaining 99.9% uptime for mission-critical applications
- Develop automation scripts (PowerShell/Python) for deployment and monitoring workflows
- Manage network infrastructure including Cisco switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions
- Perform security hardening, vulnerability assessments, and incident response
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration
- Document SOPs and create technical training materials for IT staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise system administration experience with Windows Server 2019+ and Linux RHEL/Ubuntu
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere) and hybrid cloud architectures (Azure/AWS)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent networking certification required
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam/Commvault) and disaster recovery planning
- Security certifications (Security+, CISSP preferred) and compliance knowledge (GDPR/HIPAA)
- Proven ability to lead infrastructure projects and mentor junior engineers
