Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell/Python for operational efficiency
- Lead disaster recovery planning and testing initiatives
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with development teams on DevOps practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux distributions (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
