Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and proactively optimize infrastructure
- Execute security protocols, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits (NIST/CIS)
- Manage backup/recovery systems and ensure 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline automation
- Document system architectures and create technical SOPs
- Lead cross-functional projects for infrastructure scaling and modernization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering enterprise Windows/Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and automation (Ansible)
- Proven ability to manage large-scale infrastructure projects
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
