Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize resource utilization
- Design and execute automation scripts using PowerShell/Python for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure seamless IT operations
- Document procedures and maintain compliance with industry standards (SOC2/ISO27001)
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical infrastructure incidents
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration with Windows Server 2016+ and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash) for automation
- CCNA/CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Proven track record in network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
