Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server infrastructure including virtualization (VMware) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot critical incidents, and ensure 99.9% uptime
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network security protocols (Firewalls, VPNs)
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Python/PowerShell) and configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and implement robust backup solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and system integrations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator preferred
- Experience with scripting (Python/PowerShell) and automation tools
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve critical incidents within SLAs
- Valid US driver's license and ability to work on-site in Colorado Springs
