Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure including Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), and network configurations
- Implement and maintain security protocols, access controls, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and Splunk, proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restores with 99.9% uptime SLA
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline automation using Terraform and Ansible
- Document processes, create runbooks, and provide tier-3 support for complex system incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of system administration experience
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise-level network protocols
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python/Bash) for automation and troubleshooting
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS Certified SysOps Admin)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume production environments with 24/7 availability requirements
