Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Implement robust security protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architectures
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell scripts
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups with <99.9% uptime SLAs
- Monitor system performance using Nagios, Zabbix, and cloud-native monitoring tools
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code
- Document network topologies, system configurations, and operational procedures
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex incidents and mentor junior administrators
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 5+ years in system administration
- Expertise in enterprise-level virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking (BGP, OSPF)
- Proven experience with cloud migration projects and multi-cloud environments
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, or equivalent) required
- Advanced scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Strong troubleshooting skills with enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS)
- Experience with compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, HIPAA)
