Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments and virtualization platforms (VMware/KVM)
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure with emphasis on cost optimization and security hardening
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios/Zabbix and proactively resolve issues
- Develop automation scripts (Python/PowerShell) for deployment and configuration management
- Implement backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with network and security teams on compliance frameworks (SOX, HIPAA)
- Document infrastructure changes and create SOPs for operational procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Linux/Windows Server
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS services
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect
- Strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash) and configuration management (Ansible)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and container technologies (Docker)
- Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
- Ability to work rotating on-call schedule and handle high-pressure situations
