Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols including firewalls, encryption, and access controls to protect sensitive data
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network services while ensuring 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform disaster recovery testing, and document IT procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on automation using PowerShell/Python and CI/CD pipelines
- Lead hardware/software lifecycle management including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning
- Mentor junior staff and provide tier-3 support for escalated technical challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise system administration
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise backup solutions (Veeam/Commvault)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash) for automation tasks
- Industry certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or Linux+) preferred
- Proven experience with cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure management
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call rotations
