Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust server infrastructures including virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and network systems
- Proactively monitor system health, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize performance across 500+ endpoints
- Execute security protocols, vulnerability assessments, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restoration procedures
- Collaborate with development teams on DevOps integration, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
- Document system configurations, policies, and create technical knowledge base articles
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct infrastructure training sessions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server, Linux, and hybrid cloud environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and management
- Proven track record in network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) and ticketing systems
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or equivalent)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
