Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds, ensuring 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Lead security initiatives including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance audits
- Automate infrastructure workflows using Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell scripting
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior sysadmins during critical incidents
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Document systems architecture and create detailed runbooks for operational excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking fundamentals
- Advanced certification (e.g., AWS SysOps Admin, MCSE, RHCE) preferred
- Proven experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud migration
- Strong scripting capabilities (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure automation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
