Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and compliance frameworks
- Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and execute disaster recovery protocols
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible/Terraform and manage containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Document IT infrastructure, create SOPs, and provide Tier-3 support to resolve escalated technical challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business objectives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent
- Strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell) and experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab)
- Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices (NIST, CIS)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in fast-paced, high-availability environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to document technical processes clearly
