Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure Windows/Linux server environments and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise backup solutions (Veeam/Commvault)
- Automate deployment and maintenance processes using PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
- Document network architecture, SOPs, and disaster recovery procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and industry security standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise system administration experience with Windows Server and Linux distributions
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or Linux+ (CCP preferred)
- Proven experience with network security protocols (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work flexible hours on-call rotation
