Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level infrastructure including Linux/Windows servers, virtualization (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively monitor system health, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize performance across hybrid environments
- Implement security best practices including firewalls, access controls, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Automate deployment and maintenance processes using scripting tools (Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
- Document systems architecture, processes, and runbooks for knowledge sharing and disaster recovery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of system administration experience
- Expert-level proficiency with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, and DNS/DHCP
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or equivalent) preferred
- Proven ability to automate tasks using scripting languages and configuration management tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize critical incidents
