Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Linux/Windows Server environments
- Implement and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) with emphasis on security hardening
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute quarterly failover drills
- Automate system administration tasks using Python/Ansible
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP standards
- Mentor junior sysadmins through technical workshops and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years administering enterprise Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking
- Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator preferred
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash/Powershell)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Security clearance eligibility (required for federal projects)
- Proven incident response experience in high-stakes environments
