Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and security alerts to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Perform regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate security risks.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal IT staff and end-users regarding network connectivity issues.
- Document network topology changes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with network security best practices and firewall management.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (Secret/Top Secret) is a major plus.
