The Role
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will act as the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will monitor our security landscape, investigate anomalies, and implement robust security measures. This is a high-impact role requiring a proactive mindset and a deep understanding of modern cybersecurity frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Continuously monitor security systems (SIEM) and network traffic to identify suspicious activities and potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, working closely with IT and legal teams to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Threat Analysis: Conduct regular threat hunting exercises and analyze threat intelligence to stay ahead of cybercriminal tactics.
- Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and patch security weaknesses.
- Security Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with industry standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
- Access Control: Manage user permissions and access rights to enforce the principle of least privilege across all systems.
- Policy Enforcement: Develop, review, and update internal security policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and respond quickly under pressure during security incidents.
