Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise-grade network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco Prime, proactively addressing issues
- Implement security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect against cyber threats
- Document network configurations, create SOPs, and maintain asset inventory systems
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network outages and coordinate cross-functional remediation
- Mentor junior technicians and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid architecture implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper switching/routing and SD-WAN technologies
- CCNP/CCIE or equivalent industry certification required
- Expertise in network automation (Python/Ansible) and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and network security best practices
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and hybrid architectures
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with network analyzers and diagnostic tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment
