Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise-grade network infrastructure including Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba systems
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Lead network security implementations including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network architecture and create detailed technical documentation
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex network outages and performance issues
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid network integrations (AWS/Azure)
- Train junior technicians on network best practices and troubleshooting methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CCNP or JNCIP certification required (CCIE/JNCIE preferred)
- 5+ years of enterprise network administration experience
- Expertise in routing/switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Strong background in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC)
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Python) for network provisioning
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, VMware SD-WAN)
- Valid NC driver's license with clean record for occasional site visits
